Due to a growing business and a new Supply Chain network of Customer Distribution Centres, our Fleet Team now have a requirement for a Fleet Manager. The role is predominantly required to ensure compliance in Transport operations across a network of 40+ locations in UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and Spain.
If successful in this role, you would be expected to travel with regular overnight stays to operator centres across the UK to support, develop and audit our transport operation teams in matters of compliance. The role will be field based within the UK with the option of working from one of our customer distribution centres.
In addition, you will be contributing to the development and implementation of the fleet strategy within the company and will play a key part in controlling costs across the fleet. The successful candidate will be a financially and commercially astute fleet management professional with a strong HGV engineering background.
In order to be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate the following:
  • An understanding of the demands of operating a significant fleet of vehicles based across multiple sites
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current transport legislation and experience of managing maintenance contractors.
  • Hold and maintain management CPC qualification
  • Full and clean driving licence
  • Experience in Auditing Process, WTD & Drivers Hours Legislation.
  • HGV Engineering qualification in i.e. C&G, NVQ
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Financial Awareness
  • Good IT skills – in particular Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Experience in auditing - in particular auditing Working Time Directive and EU drivers Hours
  • Be willing and able to travel with frequent overnight stays
  • A Self starter
