Sams Transport (Heathrow) Ltd require a Class 1 HGV Driver in Rugby

Sams Transport (Heathrow) Ltd has been established for over 35 years and has built a great reputation, both nationally and in the local area. We are a family run business located in Rugby. We specialise in providing a quality delivery service. All drivers are issued with their own vehicle.
We are looking for a full-time, Class 1 / HGV/ LGV driver
You will be completing all tasks and duties required for driving around the local area, as well as some long-distance jobs.
Tasks and duties will include:
·         carrying out routine vehicle checks.
·         loading/Off-loading of the vehicle is approximately seventy percent with mechanical aid and thirty percent hand ball.
·         making sure that the load is correctly placed and is secured correctly.
·         driving vehicles to their destination within a timely and safe manner.
·         customer service.
·         To maintain contact with the transport department and announce any issues as soon as they arise.
·         Ensuring all paperwork is accurate and completed correctly to be handed back to the transport office at the end of every shift.

To successfully secure this opportunity, you must have:
·         Class 1 HGV C+E licence
·         Valid CPC Card
·         Valid Digi Card
·         UK Driving Licence
·         be reliable, punctual and self-motivated
·         have a great attitude and strong work ethic
·         be capable and confident in your ability

Ideally, this position would suit someone with local area knowledge but some long-distance driving will also be required.
