Small project funding call: Successful applications

Decarbonising UK Freight Transport (DUKFT) is pleased to announce the funding of four projects following our Small Project funding call. The call, which closed on 30 April, received twenty-one applications, these were whittled down to four by a three-stage review process consisting of academic and industry stakeholders and a panel of experts.

All the applications we received were of a very high standard, and these four projects are considered best able to answer the questions set by the DUKFT research themes.

‘Understanding Freight Decarbonisation Investment Decisions‘, Fraser McLeod, University of Southampton

‘Transport Investment Decisions (TIDE): An exploration of climate alignment in freight related investment decisions‘, Nadia Ameli, UCL

‘An Integrated System and Service Design Approach for Decarbonisation of UK Freight Transportation (INSTINCT)‘, Alok Choudhary, Loughborough University

‘Co-produced Route-mapping to Accelerate Freight Decarbonisation: A Transdisciplinary Learning and Decision Framework‘, Graham Parkhurst, University of the West of England

The outcomes of these projects will feed into the work of DUKFT and contribute to unlocking investment in the decarbonisation of freight transport in the UK.
