SCHMITZ CARGOBULL APPOINTS NEW USED TRAILER SALES MANAGER TO STRENGTHEN DIRECT OPERATOR RELATIONSHIPS

Schmitz Cargobull has appointed Glenn Bagnall as its new Used Trailer Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland, providing a dedicated point of contact for operators looking to cost-effectively expand or renew their trailer fleets.

Glenn, who has more than 15 years’ experience in truck and trailer sales, is focused on extending the manufacturers’ reach, building on strong relationships Schmitz Cargobull has with fleets of all sizes.

From his base at the company’s head office in Warrington, Glenn says: “The used trailer market is very buoyant in the current climate and strong relationships are more important than ever in business.

“My aim is to develop our direct partnerships with operators, ensuring they know they can all come to us directly for their used assets as well as telematics, service packages and new equipment.

“I am already finding customers who have traditionally used a third-party seller prefer to deal with us directly, both because of our knowledge and expertise of our own equipment, and because of the competitive packages we can offer.”

He adds: “It is well known that Schmitz Cargobull manufactures some of the best trailers on the market, but it’s just as important for operators to understand we sell used trailers and that we provide so much more than just point of sale. Our support includes service contracts, tyres, telematics and finance. Our offers are second to none and ensure every operator can achieve maximum value from our assets.”

Glenn’s career to date includes previous roles at MAN dealer HRVS Group, ATE Truck and Trailer Sales and Keltruck, Scania.
