£22,880 for 40 hour pw 11 – 8 in Guildford Surrey,

Plus 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus LA, plus pension (employer pays 3% and employee pays 5%), plus additional discount and savings schemes.

Job description

Purpose of the job: Responsible for carrying out deliveries, collections, repairs, servicing and testing of community equipment.

Main duties and responsibilities:

1.Deliveries – To undertake pre-delivery inspection of all products and undertake the delivery and handover of community equipment to a service user at their home and/or other locations, as required. Products have to be scanned into the home and scanner synchronized on return to the service center. These activities must be carried out in accordance with Millbrook
procedures.
2. Collections - Responsible for the collection of community equipment, and on return to the service center, must be scanned to the quarantine area. These must be carried out in accordance with Millbrook procedures
3.Repairs –Responsible for carrying out repairs when required to do so. If unable to repair, the product has to be swapped. User safety is paramount at all times.
4.Installation –Responsible for carrying out installation of equipment. The Bosch pipe detector that you have been trained to use must be used in all instances when fixing products. All installations to be carried out in line with procedures.
5. Emergency out-of-hours – When on call rota, responsible for responding to the 24/7 call centre to undertake an emergency repair or delivery.
6. Vans –Responsible for your vehicle. Must ensure that regular maintenance checks are carried out. Responsible for the cleanliness of both the inside and outside of the van. Responsible for logging mileage travelled each week, and you are aware that your vehicle has a tracker fitted that monitors speed, fuel consumption, braking, idling and where the vehicle is and has been.
7. Diesel – In all instances, the diesel card you have been provided with must be used, as this monitors the diesel you have used and the fuel consumption, i.e. miles per gallon/litre. Must ensure that all receipts are kept and reported on to the service centre supervisor.
8. Tooling – Responsible for your tools. You must take responsibility for any tools lost or damage. Any problems must be reported to the service centre supervisor.
9. Administration –You must use your scanner for every movement of product, whether delivery/collection, repair or exchange. Also, you are responsibl for obtaining all signatures on the documentation issued to you for this purpose.
10. Communication –Any problems that you have had with any job or product must be reported, verbally and in writing, to your supervisor
11. Stock check –to assist with annual stock checks as required.

Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills are required to interact
  • with internal staff, prescribers and service users.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Map reading skills with good attention to detail.
  • Good DIY skills.
Qualifications:
  • Qualified for GCSE level or equivalent preferred
  • Must hold a current full UK Driving Licence
  • Previous experience of driving vans with evidence of interaction with members of the public.
  • Experience within a registered ISO9002 company would be desirable with evidence of working within set quality procedures
  • Enthusiastic motivated individual who strives to succeed.
