Are you an HGV driver fed up with not knowing when you’re working next, but still looking for the flexibility offered by temporary work? Are you looking for a full working week with guaranteed hours, but not a permanent job? We’re looking for flexible Class 2 HGV Drivers to join us at our site in Gloucester.

You’ll be supporting our Day & Night Network operations on either a 3- or 6-month fixed term contract. We are happy to look at flexibility, maybe you just want to work Saturday and Sunday, perhaps you would like to fit 5 days’ work into 4. You will be making both deliveries and collections to our customer sites. You’ll be working a minimum of 11-hour days either any 4 from 6 or working weekend shifts with AM/PM start times. In return for your hard work, we’ll offer you a competitive hourly rate of £14.00 days or £15.25 nights. The role is PAYE and unfortunately, we cannot accept Ltd Companies.

 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Carrying out multi drops routes, completing full load deliveries and collections or trunking (depending on shift pattern and licence category)
  • Shift start times vary from early AM, PM and Nights
  • There can be an element of manual handling so you must be physically fit
  • These are Fixed Term Contracts of either 3 or 6 Months

 

What you need to succeed at XPO:

 

  • We’ll need you to have a full UK driving licence (with C entitlement),
  • You’ll have no more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements.
  • A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
  • ADR would be a distinct advantage for this role
