Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Class 1 Driver Trainer to join our site in Chalton, Luton, on a Full-Time Permanent basis. You will work with the drivers to improve standards, increase performance and ensure compliance. You will also occasionally cover routes at times when needed by the site.
Striving to maximise productivity, improve quality and enhance efficiency you will monitor more than the sites drivers, making sure you achieve high levels of service at all times. Among other activities, you will be delivering Driver CPC training, driver assessments and finding ways to improve fuel efficiency - so you must have a confident and outgoing persona in order to deliver this training.
To exceed in this role you will be either, be a driver with a minimum of 5 years LGV experience looking to step up to a Driver Trainer, or have experience in this role currently. A Level 3 BTEC in Education & Training (formerly PTLLS) qualification and IOSH qualification is desirable but not essential.

The basic hourly rate for this position is £10.62 on a standard 40 hour week. You will be working 0800 - 1700 Monday to Friday, you will also have a weekly £25 bonus for being a driver trainer.
