*** HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER WANTED for Andrew Herron Transport Ltd ***
We are looking to add an extra full time class 1 driver for UK & Ireland work to our team. The job consists of mostly euro liner & flat trailer work, with occasional low loader work and some abnormal load movements. Experience is preferred in knowing how to safely secure loads using chains and straps.
Trucks will be based at our yard in Dromara Co.Down. We are a small team where you will be a name, not a number and we expect all work to be carried out to the highest standard. You will be working in a close knit team along with myself who expects you to use your initiative, have good communication skills and have a friendly 'can do' attitude on a daily basis when dealing with customers at collection and delivery points.
The truck will be equipped with driver comforts such as a microwave, fridge and TV, you must take pride in it as our company image is important to us. Our trucks are well maintained and any driver abuse to our vehicles, tyres or fuel will not be tolerated. All work must be carried out legally and drivers hours must be compliant with tachograph and break requirements.
Due to the nature of our work load, the driver must be fully flexible with start and finish days although most work is completed Sunday/Monday - Friday. You will be expected to stay away from home all week but on some occasions nights at home are achievable during the week.
The candidate must
*Hold a valid class 1 licence
*Hold a CPC qualification card
*Hold a digital tachograph card
*Be over 25 years old (for insurance reasons)
