Rygor Group Celebrates Success at Inaugural Motor Trader Women in Motor Industry Awards

Rygor Group has marked a significant milestone this month with the launch of the Women in Automotive Journal and the recognition of multiple team members at the inaugural Motor Trader Women in Motor Industry Awards.

The journal is an initiative designed to celebrate the incredible women within the automotive industry and inspire more women and girls to consider careers in the sector and via its social media posts. This publication reflects Rygor Group’s ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion, showcasing stories and insights that aim to encourage future generations to join the industry. Adding to this achievement, several members of the Rygor team attended the inaugural Motor Trader Women in Motor Industry Awards last week and returned with three prestigious accolades.

Emily Walsh was Highly Commended in the Dealer Rising Star category, Samantha Bettridge won the Dealer Unsung Hero award, and Kate Ruberry-Shoemack, Director of People & Communications, was named Inspirational Dealer Leader of the Year. Sam and Emma Joyce were also recognised as finalists in the Advocate for Change category, which celebrates individuals driving commercial and cultural transformation within the industry. These recognitions highlight the team’s dedication to excellence and innovation. Speaking about the achievement, Sam Bettridge, people relations manager at Rygor Group, said: "Being recognised at WIMIA25 is incredibly meaningful to me because it reflects both the work I’ve committed to and the support, trust, and collaboration of the people around me at Team Rygor. This award reinforces that when we lead with intent and create opportunities for others to thrive, we drive meaningful, lasting change across our industry.”

John Keogh, Managing Director at Rygor Group, added: "We are immensely proud of our team’s success at the Women in Motor Industry Awards and of the launch of our Women in Automotive Journal. These achievements demonstrate our commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace and championing diversity within the automotive sector. Congratulations to Emily, Sam, Kate and Emma for their outstanding contributions and for inspiring others across the industry."

Rygor Group was also proud to serve as a Dealer Sponsor for this important event, which champions diversity and inclusion across the automotive sector. The company remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote progress and inspire future generations.
